my driver side headlight actuator no longer works going up. I vaccum tested it and vacuum runs straight through the actuator, as in there is no resistance so I am guess the seal has corroded, the headlight will pull down though. I guess what I'm asking is should I get the seal kit with the witches hat and all that and redo the seals or just replace the whole actuator. It has already been replaced once so It isnt the orginal or anything.

As long as the diaphragm is good just changing the seals will fix your actuator.
Have a helper raise the hood as high as possible and you can remove and replace from the top.

Hi P9,
As 7T9 mentioned the 'down' motion, (red striped hose), requires just the internal diaphragm seal; while the 'up' motion, (green striped hose), requires the same diaphragm seal, and also the witch's-hat seal on the rod.

Alan
any recomendations on where to get the seal kit? I used to get most of my stuff from ecklers when I lived closer to their warehouse, I've also ordred from wilcox so I guess I'll see which one comes out cheaper after shipping.

I'd use either Willcox or Zip. Check to see if anyone is having a forum sale.
