What is a good replacement tire for my 72 Shark?? I'm thinking of going to a 60 series radial, any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
255/60-15's are the perfect replacement...they fit with no rubbing, and have the exact same circumference so your speedometer will still read correct. I chose the BFG Radial T/A and they work just fine.

same here!!! 255/60-15 BFG Radial T/A on all 4 wheels.
However - I am thinking in changing the rear tires to 275/60R15 to get a little bit more
traction with the new engine....

P.S. I have 275/60R15 (rear) and 255/60R15(front) Firehawks SS20's on my Duntov!
I like both - the BFG and the Firestone tires. The Firestone tires are a little bit
cheaper and look better (the white letters)
I'm also looking for new tires. Will 255 X 60 X 15's fit on stock rims? I have heard that they will, just want to make sure. Thanks
I put 255/60VR15 Pirelli Scorpion Zero on all four corners of my '77 on my 15 X 8 ralleye rims. They fit with no rubbing and they handle great. The VR rating is good for 149 mph  I bought them at http://www.tirerack.com for $85 each plus shipping. ( $ 38 for 4 to PA ) They are listed as a "sport truck tire". This gives you a slightly stiffer sidewall which helps in the handling. HTH
