Help with temperature sender for electric fans
Hi Brothers,
I want to go with 2x12" electric fans on my 75 350 with A/C and aluminum radiator, and don't know witch temperature sender have to use, 185on/170of, or 200on/185of. The sender will be in a thermostat housing?
Thanks in Advance

Question #1, what thermostat are you running?
I'd probably do 200on/185 off with a 180 or 195 t-stat.

I would go for the 200 one. Also the Head is a better place for the switch. Warms up faster/hoter there.
I got a fan switch for a 4cyl Mustang that open in the low 200 range for mine.

There is only 1 and that is probably the home of your temp gauge.
I have mine in an extra hole in the front runner of the intake.

Fortunately, there's one sensor plug in each head. Install the sensor in the other head.

I didn't mention that because he will have to run about 3 ft more wire.

I run the 200/185off version from Speedway motors in my rockcrawling jeep w/ a roller SBC. I have had 2 others from Summit and they lasted about a year or so. On another note, you may want to also run an over-ride switch. That way if you start to run hot and not sure if your fan is turning on, you can flip the switch. All I did was run an addtl ground out of my relay to the switch inside the cabin. I have had to use it on occasion and was definitely gave me piece of mind.
