Default C6 emblems on a C3?

Has anybody put C6 emblems on there C3? I have an 80 and was thinking the updated emblems might look nice. Would I need two fronts, two backs, or one of each? I don't know what the difference is between the two.

Well, it's your car and you can do what you want. But, I think putting C6 badges on something other than a C6 would just be wrong. Each series has its heritage. Customize a C3 with "other" unique design badges/logos? No problem.

But, sticking one Covette's series badging/logos on another....it's just not right, IMO. Besides, the best badging/logos on the Corvettes are the C3's!

It wouldn't look right. I wouldn't even put 68-72 crossed flags on my 79. I would however put the "stingray" fender script on in place of the crossed flag fender emblems of my model year.

I have seen this done on an '81, and it just didn't look right. It's kinda like seeing an old victorian era house with solar panels on the slate roof, or a Civil War soldier carrying an M-16 rifle. Nothing wrong with it, just kind of odd looking.

edit: This '81 'vette also had an old Fuel Injection emblem on it, from the late '50s, or early '60s, and that was pretty cool lookin'!

OK so I have customised my 80 with C6 Styling cues but not the Emblems as I also want to stay with the C3 era emblems. OK so I'm useng 82's on my 80 cause I like them the best of the Late 80's cause they look the most like the early C3's if that makes any sence.
Dose anybody know who may produce these Emblems in a Decal. I can get them done localy but with a large set up fee and a minimum order.

I like the centennial emblems. I know the market wouldn't be huge for these, but I think my 80 emblem with the same style as these would look sweet on my silver C3.

The easiest way to tell '80, '81, and '82s apart with a quick glance are from the emblems, since they are different each year. I wouldn't touch them.

Thats no difference if you put the C6 emblems on there.
If I would see Stingray on a 77 and even if I knew it was a 77 I would tell the owner, " Hey nice 76, what happen to the original steering wheel?"

Well, I am putting a Z06 engine in my C3, but I spent hours and days redoing all my C3 emblems. From the outside, I want it to look like every other 70 454. Anything else would look, well just strange. However, it is what you like that matters.

It would be similar to people who put AMG or M badges on a non AMG/M car.
