Default Attaching Rear Emblem

It appears that I'm missing a nut on the rear "Corvette" emblem on my 77. When I look up in back of the bumper it appears that there's no way to get to the back of the emblem. Do you have to pull the bumper to fasten the thing?

You have to remove the aluminum bumper bracket. (might be gold in color) the bolts are on the inside and nuts under the bumper frame. Otherwise 2-face tape.

Not sure when the switch was made, but all cars have been using double faced tape for years. If this is how yours are attached, then good heating up the area with a bathroom fixture type infrared heat lamp, to help out. If inside nuts, then as mentioned, some dismantling will be required. You can put the new one on with tape though. 3M Super Strong automotive attachment tape, is good stuff. Just put some on the emblem, and trim around with an Ex-acto knife, before re-mounting. Done this many times.
