Default Unknown Components

I’m new to this so bear with me. I bought a 1970 Corvette convertible. The electrical system is a mess so I removed the left and right dash panels to check on the condition of the wiring. Under the right dash panel I found two electrical units with cooling fins. The one closest to the center is the biggest. It has a Green and Black wire on one side and a wire bundle with a multi-pin connector on the other. The unit on the right is smaller and has a three wire connector. Neither of these units were connected to any other component. The car had air-conditioning at one time, but has since been disconnected. Can anyone tell me what these two units are? Were they original equipment, or were they added after market for some purpose? As I said before, I am new to this restoring gig, so don’t laugh to hard. Thanks in advance.

I believe you've found the stereo convector assembly pieces. If you originally had a stereo radio (sounds like it did), these are worth their weight in gold! Even if you didn't, the stock radio needs these to work properly. If your going for the full restoration, save these in a marked box for replacement later!
