Default shifter console cover plate
Does anyone know if an automatic shifter plate from a 1971 vette would fit my 1976 ?. Mounting wise. I like the look of the lamp indicater lights.
call me silly.

How are the indicator lights going to work without the fiber optic cables in the 71 wire harness?

I will get the lights to operate, just need to know if it will mount in mt 76.

Looking at vendor sites the console and the trim plate changed in 72 so unless somebody else responds all you can do is physically compare the 71 plate to your console.

Should fit; size-wise they are the same. Might want to compare mounting hole location. Most plates have four holes; some have six.
