air cleaner issues

I have a 1975 vette with a RPM AIR-GAP intake, Quickfuel 780 electric choke carb. After reading some responces i am still confused? What will work and not restrict air flow and if one work under a stock 1975 hood?

Basically a 14X3" free flowing filter with a drop base bottom.
I think they have two indents on the bottom for the float adjustment screw tops.

I normally cut some hose taps into the stocker, and run flex hose to grab air before the underhood radiator heated air. Works a lot better for hot summer days.

I would think that a reproduction 1970 LT-1 air cleaners should fit just fine. Thats what I have on my 73 with RPM performer and Ultra DP..clears with a little room to spare.
