Default power steering help needed

i have a 80 corvette and have recently replaced all 4 power steering lines, i put the front wheels up and turning on the engine and the steering wheel started turning lock to lock incredibly fast. what could be the reason for this?

ps i tried bleeding the air out of lines, but it doesnt really change anything and the resevoir fluid level stays unchanged when i turn the wheel lock to lock with engine on and off...

Did you CROSS the lines like the originals were?
Where the 2 lines pass each other where they're curved they should criss/cross.

i did not do anything to the adjustment nut, also which lines are supposed to cross the two from pump to the cylinder thing or the two from the cylinder thing to the steering piece, and why do they need to cross? (sorry for not knowing the correct names for things)

The above info is correct. You may already have the problem solved with the correct installation of the hose assemblies. This is from the AIM.

you will need to slowly turn the steering wheel full rack both directions a few times to get all the air out.
