Can anyone tell me where get information on how to replace door skins for a 1979 corvette?
Thank you,

Welcome to the Forum!
Glas-ra publishes several books on Corvette fiberglass repairs. Volumes 3 and 4 cover 1968-1982 cars. Door skin replacement is in volume 3 page 88-98 of the paper copy. Times change and the information is now available on cd (bottom link for vendors) mine is a paper copy. Paper copies might be available used at the on-line book sellers.
I have done this job on my 80'. If the Door is Rust Free I would do it again, if not I would consider replaceing the Door. If You go ahead and replace the door skin get it lined up real good test fitting. Then You need to decide if You are going to bond it with the Door on the Car or off. Both have advantages. If You leave the Door on, the hardest place to Clamp it will be the forward edge as You can't get a clamp in with the door shut. Use Garilla Tape. Start Clamping in the forward center and then the aft center. Close the Door and make sure all is well, then Clamp from the Center out. Hope this helps....
