i need a picture of what my left caliper and brake line should look like. When you say swapped are you saying that the left caliper is really for the right rear or that it is installed backwards? I'll check out the right side rear brake line and compare.

Please don't drive your car until this is fixed properly
They might not be swapped. What it looks like is that someone put the brake line where the inner bleeder goes. That brake line should come into the bottom inside of the caliper, just like the pic Mike posted shows. There should be two bleeders on the to of the caliper, one inside, and one outside. Talk about Bubba!!!
im going to take off the caliper, flip it, re adjust my brake line and re install. I just assumed that it was the right way to go be it that the line before it was set up similiar but not rubbing against my shock.

I just had mine off and apart a few weeks ago. As I recall, the brake line will only go in one spot as the fitting is a different size than the 2 bleeders and 1 plug. It looks like the caliper is on the wrong side of the car to me, but I could be wrong.
In Mike's picture (left assembly looking from inboard position) it does not show the bleeders but there should be two of them on the end towards the front of the car. One inboard and one outboard. On the rear outboard there shoud be a plug opposite the brake line.

casting number 5473807 for rear driver. I'm thinking about getting another line, detach, plug up the current hole with the adjacent plug and run it.
On the rear calipers the outside halves are the same casting number. Both bleeder holes are tapped the same and will only accept a plug or a bleeder. The inner halves are different casting numbers. One hole tapped for a bleeder the other hole tapped and has a flare seat inserted and will only accept a brake line. I also believe your calipers are installed on the wrong side. When installed correctly you should have, on the inner half, the brake line hole on the bottom with a bleeder on top. On the outer half you should have a plug on the bottom and a bleeder on top.
Right rear. Line on inner and plug on outer.
Left rear. Line and plug on bottom and bleeders on top both halves.
If you do not have the bleeders on the top you will not be able to properly bleed the air from the system. Good luck with it and be safe. mike...
Before you do that ck. what you currently have. You may already have the correct parts. Possibly just swap sides? mike...
When you say swap sides do you mean just swap the other hole? The right rear is ok. The line is what it supposed to look like and the whole is the inner bottom. If I could just swap the bleeder from the other side to the front on my left rear caliper that would be great. Not sure how to verify my caliper on my left is actually my left caliper.
Ok. Sorry for delay. Been hectic around here today. You think you have two drivers side calipers? If your car is not like the pics. I posted and like the one Mike W. posted than you might have two drivers side set-ups. Good luck with it . mike...
bleed the brakes, brake line now comes on, better than having a hole in your brake line!
Look at the picutre Mike Ward posted in post #28. That's how the brake line looks when it's the right part and installed correctly. This is NOT CORRECT.
I'm assuming you mean the brake LIGHT now comes on. Thats because the system has a problem, most likely from bleeding. After you fix the brake line bleed the entire system and that should clear the light. The light sets because of an "imbalance" between the front and rear brakes.
