After the events 0f Sept 11 and my getting laid off ( I worked as Mechanic for major airline) I found myself back in school and the vette in the storage along with alot of new suspension parts in boxes stack away awaiting a a better time. Well it looks like that time is getting near so i back the vette out and found i have vitrually no brakes the pedal touching the floor and still moving. The brakes were not that good to begin with that was part of the plan projects with the suspension but i really like it stop so i cant take it around the block and wash the underside at the local car wash. I have read that the bakes bake off when store but i had no ideal it would be that much. So my question What the best fix bleading the brake system? and if so what was the sequence i read it once on the forum a while back something to do with inner and outers on the back calipers. :smash:
1. Order: RR, LR, RF, LF (rear bleeders first on rear wheels, if applicable)
2. Have your staff member hold the pedal each time, not pump it (agitation)
3. Attach a hose to the bleeder, and route it into a can or jug (no mess)
4. Check the master cylinder fluid level between bleeding each wheel
5. Do not mix synthetic and petroleum based brake fluids (DOT 4 minimum)
