Default Proposed Tri-Power Vacuum Setup

I am looking for Feedback on the proposed Vacuum setup on Tri-power 69 Corvette. I don’t want to shoot myself in the foot so to speak.

I am doing a complete Body-Off rebuild that will be a nostalgic looking Pro-touring Resto-Mod.

Drive train: ZZ454 crate motor with 69 oval port Tri-power and Tremec 5 speed OD
Hood: Long L88
Head Lights: Electronic pop up headlights
AC: Vintage Air

I am in the process of getting the engine completed (Tri-power & accessories). My goal is to have all the components ready before I take the gutted car to the painter where the body will be removed. I will then have 6 weeks to get the chassis painted and a complete rolling chassis (with drive train installed) ready for the body to be installed.

I would appreciate any feedback on the proposed vacuum setup below, because the car was originally a 427 390hp Quad carb. Also I am deleting much of the vacuum components and I would like to avoid making a mistake.

Proposed Tri-Power Vacuum Setup

I have consider the following Vacuum components:
  • Distributor advance (revised vacuum source)
  • Headlights (converted to electric)
  • Windshield wiper door (eliminated by Long L88 hood)
  • A/C (not sure if vacuum is needed for Vintage Air)
  • Power brake booster (stock vacuum source planned)
  • Vacuum reservoir tank (don’t need any more?)

Scenario# 1:
  • Vacuum Link all 3 carbs at ports (A) using T connector
  • Vacuum hose (B) already installed out of the box from Holley (leave as is)
  • Cap Vacuum port (C) on bottom side of Ctr carb (original Dist Adv ported vacuum source)
  • Install PVC hose to port (D) note: do not have nipple fiiting / will make from 3/8" OD alum tubing
  • Run Distributor advance off of Vacuum Port (E) at rear of intake manifold.
  • Install Pwr Brake hose to 3/8" port (E)
  • Do Not Install Vacuum Reservoir Box back onto car
  • Set initial timing (engine off at 4* BTDC)

Scenario# 2:
  • Same as scenario# 1 except
  • Run Distributor advance off of Ctr carb ported vacuum source (C).
  • Cap unused Vacuum port (E) at rear of intake manifold.

TIA for any comments or feedback
