Where tap into ignition power?
Hey all i am installing a fuel injection set up on a 1980 and need a place to tap into both a "start" and "run" circuit. Where would be a good place to find a wire that is only hot when the ignition is in the "start" position and the "run" position. Would it be possible to tap it off of the ignition switch itself? if so how hard is it to get to?

Yes the IGN on the fuse terminal block is hot during run and cranking. I also found one out in the engine harness that is hot this way also. Just start testing with your ohm meter and use one of the wires that is hot

Ok will do. where did you find one that is only hot during cranking? I have a feeling i am going to be playing with the multi meter a lot haha.

Keep in mind that I am not an electrician, or a mechanic, just a semi logical hobbyist.
It would seem to me that one of your starter terminals might be the way to go for this? Just throwing ideas out there
