Default Point me in the right direction

Well, I got the ole Vette Built & now I'm in the process of working out some of the 'Bugs'. One of the problems I'm having is with the Doors & the Power Windows. B4 I go any further, I'm asking for anyone that can point me in the right direction to other past threads about power window problems, so that I can look 'em over to see if anyone has had the same problems I'm now having, B4 I start asking anyone for their help.

As for the Doors, the problem seems to point to the door weatherstrip. After installing the new strip to the door, I now have to litterly slam the door to get it to shut right. Some have told me that this is normal, until the stripping 'breaks' in. If anyone elase has thoughts about this, please feel free to post in this thread.

During the time my son & I have been building the project vette, we have asked for help & I really appreciate everyone who has given suggestions.

This has certainly been a great forum to be a part of & everyone on here is 'Tops' in my book !

When I replace all my weatherstripping and seals I had to literally close my power windows with the doors open for the window to close all the way. I did have new p/w motors but they didnt seem to have enough oomph with the door closed to seal tightly. I know you dont want to hear that but this went on for a couple of months until the seals countoured enough to close properly. I hand rubbed spray silicone on the seals occasionally which did help slide the window up closer.

Yeah, that's what I'm being told. The Weatherstrip & Seals need to 'seat' right & it takes a little time. It would also help if they got a little warmer, so, I'm just waiting for the temperature to go up Here in Southgate, Michigan to see if the seals getting warmer will help to seat them.

As for the power windows, I'm doing some other test to the system that I put in, to try & rule out a few things. Although the windows are working, they're going much slower than I remember & it seems that any little bit of resistance to them going up or down, makes them stop dead. Also, the window seems to 'struggle' as it approaches the top, this is even when the doors are open. Just doesn't seem right to me.

Any suggestions out there would help & be greatly appreciated.

I sure wouldn't like to see a grown man cry, when his real nice interior gets all wet in a rain storm, because he can't get the windows to go up.
