My 700r4 let loose again. Was driving down a 35mph road, engine was still cold so I was babying it. On a 2-3 shift I hear a "ting" and I have no foward or reverse. From the looks of it, fluid is not being circulated. So I think I lost a front pump or snapped some input shaft. Trans is on its way out of the car, will know this week what the deal is.

Ouch! Have you had other reliablility problems with the 700? Mine in my 84 has been a rock. It was re-built by a decent local tranny place before I bought the car and I have never had a problem. I'm not running nitrous or anything like that, but I have alot more power than stock. About 300HP now.

The original 700r4 lasted two years without issue. My hipo build didn't last very long. I think this is a fluke failure. It has just not been a good spring time for the Corvette, you can see by my earilier post.
