Default Matching Numbers

Ok, so I had all these pictures from my 78 and needed to learn Adobe CS4 so decided to use the pics to illustrate the concept of matching numbers. I look at matching numbers in the context of body assembly, engine and tranny and date codes. Let me know if I have left something out.

Thanks!

Hi - this is very helpful -- I was looking for something like this.

Has your car been re-painted? The trim tag looks like it's been sprayed over.

You may have missed it...but the article explains this so take some time to absorb what is written and I believe you'll find the answer to your question.

I missed that -- thanks! I didn't know they routinely painted over the trim tags in the factory in '78 -- hadn't seen that before...
