Iron tight ceramic sealer
Has anyone ever had this done and knows where it can be done and how much?
Most auto parts have it for 40+ bucks. Yellow and blue bottle.
Used on the infamous Caddy engines.

Just installed my brand new Profiler heads and had to use the Cometic .027 MLS head gaskets to get the quench down.
Cleaned everything and installed the gaskets (dry) and heads as directed but then noticed a wet spot in 2 places at the bottom of the one head a few days after filling the coolant (have not started the motor).
Previous shop that did the block decking left the surface way too coarse for the MLS gaskets to seal properly. Story of my life..
Damn! And these are $100 a pop gaskets too!

So my current engine guy suggested to try Moroso's 'Weather Seal' before I tear the whole motor apart again. He's seen it do some pretty amazing stuff so I figure I'm only out a couple of days and the $14 for the sealer. While it's not my first repair method of choice, I REALLY don't want to tear the whole top end off again either if I don't absolutely have to.
Stuff arrives tomorrow-
I'll keep everyone posted on if/how it works.
Keep your fingers crossed!

All these better sealants contain Sodium Silicate (liquid glass) and it hardens and seals when it comes in contact with air in a cooling system.
For a rough finish, you may want to try the old spray on copper sealer when assembling.
I'd be a lot more worried that the deck isn't FLAT than the Ra is too high...
Deck is flat, the shop that originally did the work were butchers.
They must have cut the deck at the fastest rate their equipment could cut.
I still have the original Fel Pro 1014s I took off and you can feel the cut marks pressed into the material. The Fel Pros sealed just fine- The deck surface is just to damn rough for MLS.
Unfortunately, when I showed the original gaskets to my current builder, he couldn't believe the texture and said there was no way in hell my MLS gaskets would seal on that surface.
So the 'Weather Seal' option is out and I just ordered another set of 1014s.
That blows my quench from about .045 to .057 but I don't have a choice unless I yank the block and have it cut.
Since I have to pull the motor again next winter to install my TKO and A/C, I'll have to live with the crappy quench for this year and then I'll have the block decked correctly while I have it out next year.
Man I'm getting good at taking stuff apart/out and putting it back together... I just HATE scraping off old gaskets and RTV sealer!
