Thanks. I pulled Tach and found a large black spot. In all the threads i read, all had stopped working or didn't work. Mine is the first one to " go to 7000 and stick ".

Did the tach go clockwise to 7K or counterclockwise? Not sure if it makes a difference since the large black spot indicates that your tach board is toast. I'd recommend a replacement tach board from Willcox. Their boards don't look like stock boards but nobody is ever going to see them and they use modern technology as opposed to 1978 technology.

Hi,Rick. Tach went clockwise and it was fast. I will get one from Willcox.Just hope the reason for this was just an old board.
