Is any one using the CTS-v pan ? specs look good but my searches on here are not showing if it works or not .
It looks pretty similar to the F-body oil pan but the angle of the slope to the sump looks a little steeper. The clearance to the PS ram is pretty close with the F-body pan so if you plan to use stock power steering you might run into problems. If you use something like the Borgeson conversion you should be fine. I don't know what the issues would be with Steeroids or Rack Attack.
A lot of venders sell ls oil pans for camaro . I would start with their specs.
That was not the question , I have the specs for F-body pans and know they fit and is the pan of choice but would like to know if others are using a CTS-V pan .
LS3 DRY SUMP pan on my planned conversion. Dry Sumo is why I'm doing it to begin with (early LS7 8qt tank looks to be fitting just fine.)
Now the task of building headers since I don't care much for any of the present offerings I have seen. Just got done "popping" a front clip off a cherry 78 Vette to allow easier access to my motor mock-up when building those headers.
You might want to look into the GM parts, Holley, Mast Motorsports, Canton, Moroso or other oil pan offerings.
I'm using the CTS-V pan....... on my 72 Olds 442 conversion. Way deeper than the batwing corvette pan on my 68 vette. Stick with a corvette or f body pan.

Thats what I was thinking also its too deep with 6 3/4 at its deepest point . Thanks Gary
If you use anything other than the F body pan the lowest point on the car will be the oil pan not a good thing!!!! Both my LS cars have F body pans.
