Got caught up in the performance thing and had all sorts of fancy spark plugs laying around. The burn looks good but my heat range looks to be a little hot. I figured why not do what I'm "supposed" to do and get the AC delco R44T plugs that came oem.
Don't forget I'm modified with a bump in cam, headers, 2.5" exhaust, airgap intake, and full MSD ignition.
Any guesses as to what I'll see withR44T plugs gapped at .035 after a few miles ? And.....how many miles would you guys drive before a serious check of plug condition ? I'm not gonna burn down the quarter and read them on the shoulder....no drag race here. Want a good read after some driving....how long do you suggest ?
well since you have an MSD, I would go to .045 and drive for about 100 miles with a clean shutdown, no idle. You also may want to try R44TS, the center electrode is extended.
