Default Aftermarket timing marker pointer?

Have rebuilt engine in my garage on floor. One of the various versions of timing chain covers and harmonic balancers was used. I have a 6.75" diameter balancer and a timing chain cover with marker straight up at 12 o'clock. Here's my idea. Make another mark on the balancer or just buy a tape, put it on the balancer. Now, has anyone found a timing mark pointer that can bolt to the block that provides a reference point for the new balancer mark? Has anyone built one? How did u do it?

There are a ton of aftemarket pointers that bolt right up to the timing cover for your application. Moroso has one specifically for the 6.75" balancer under part number 60110.

While you're at it, buy a mechanical piston stop you screw into the #1 spark plug hole to find absolute TDC. Then glue on your balancer's timing tape. That pointer is adjustable to fine tune the 0* mark.
