Default Engine Modding help!

I know I will probably sound like a broken record, could someone give me a link to guides or information of force inducing c3 stock. Things like how much it costs, what power to expect, and so on. I was unable to find links on the fourm. Thank you!

Amazon is your friend, this is an example of one book to choose from.

Thanks! I'm a noob, but is a difference for C3 vs other cars? Looks like this book is just a general guide. I have a g35 and did a lot of research for force induction on it. I just wanted to know what's good on a classic engine and what others have done for c3's.

IMO a stock NA SBC will not hold up very long under power adding FI. Additionally, the heads, exhaust, cam are likely going to make the supercharger or turbo's job a lot harder.

A roots blower on a reasonably stout long block will get you the most bang and fun for the $.

I've been eyeballing a sub $10k 572CI / 8-71 combination online for a while. A good double snout crank, about 4-5 lbs of boost and 8:1 compression and I think it will make enough torque @ 2500 - 5500 to shift the earth's axis.

Oh, and there is a bug to all this making of power: A $5000 plan can quickly evolve into a $20,000 project.

X10 on the 5K turning to 20K project. The SBC can put out as much HP as your wallet will allow. It is all a matter of what your driving plans are and do you wish to keep it all under the hood. Any book on SBC build will apply to your project (unless you have a BBC ).

After you decide on HP / Boost / Budget, the trans and rearend will need to be addressed.

Enjoy the process and keep the site posted
