Nope. Are you sure it's Corvette?

Hi,
Isn't it the monitor for the flux capacitor.
I believe the thinking was in case of a catastrophic failure of the flux capacitor, the monitor would signal the driver that the car was now in "limp home mode".
For the uninformed; in "limp home mode" the driver picks up the car and carries it home. Thus the "limp".
Regards,
Alan

That's the "Missiles Armed" indicator cable for vehicles so equipped.

No , I'm not. I'm still going through boxes of old stuff and ran across this (among another million little things ) and it didn't ring a bell for me so I thought I'd ask some of you "old" folk out there with better memory's than me.

"Old Folks" with "better memory" is definitely an oxymoron! In fact, that is an....uh...well....uh.... What was it we were talking about???

Is this posted in more than one location? I thought I already answered this, its for a PASSENGER CAR ashtray light, optional in Camaro, Chevelle, Full Size, depending on length of fiber cable. You also need a special spring clip to insert it into hole in ashtray opening stamping.

Not saying that it what it is but.. On Older Buicks and Olds's they ran a FO cable from a dash illumination bulb to the ashtray. It would illuminate the ash receptacle

I looks like the one they use on a 73-87 chevy pickup lighter.

Roger, see the spring clip by the light socket on the ferrule crimped onto the fiber carrier, you need another one of those for the ashtray hole. I used to have 30 of these but, I think they are gone from my stash. This would be worth some $$ to someone with a Camaro.

I think this f/o pigtail belongs to a 2nd Gen Camaro, I got a very similar one behind my '70 Z28 dashboard, its used to illuminate the wipers switch.

I'm old. I don't think it's Corvette.

7T1: I was intending to comment on your oxymoron but I can't remember what I wanted to say.
