Default Throttle lever help

Hi everyone. My 75 has a 540 inch BB with an Edelbrock 2x4 intake and a pair of 1406 (AFB) carbs. I decided to change jets and rods to lean the beast a bit. Thats done. In the process, I discovered that the peddle doesn't open the secondaries. It may just crack them, but I need somewhere around 1 more inch of throttle lever movement to get to full throttle. Anyone help with getting a 1406 to fully open with the vette peddle-cable set-up?

Thanks,

Lang

I have a C-66R and a pair of those Edelbrock carbs ready to go on. I have the linkage between the 2 carbs setup, but not on the engine yet. I have mine set so the primaries open pretty much together and about 1/2 travel the secondaries start, This is all on the bench. I'll take pictures, but it'll be a couple of weeks before I get back home for pictures. If you still need them then, let me know.

Is there another hole in the carb throttle linkage plate that is closer to the throttle shaft than where your cable is presently attached? If so, try that.

I should have mentioned that I don't use a progressive linkage. I have great throttle response opening both simultaneously. But I am only getting primaries and a small amount of secondary. I want it all.
