Default 3/8 non flared tube to AN fitting solution

Hello all,
I just wanted to share with you some information I came across on the C5 forum and I wanted to pass it along. I've converted over to fuel injection in my 70 and I'm utilizing the original fuel line as the return line for the system. I've struggled for close to a month with the 3/8 non flared tube to AN adapters from Summit/Russel, etc. They utilize a copper ferrule and they leaked no matter how lightly or tightly I torqued them down. I think I went through six different ones so I wasn't using the same one over and over again. A bad choice for fuel injection. I was also sure to clean the pipe surface of any debris. So I hit Google with some choice keywords and I was sent right back to this forum, but in the C5 section. Below is a highly detailed link on the product by Swagelok PN# SS-600-6-6AN. I've seen a lot of people looking for this type of adapter and I can happily say that I've got three of them on my 70 and they are leak free! No reason to be redundant. The link below has all the detail you could ever want to know about this product and a pretty funny story on the last thread. Enjoy.

What was the barrier to flaring and using a tube nut?

Hi Billa,
Space, lack of the flaring tool, time, cost.

it took 3 weeks to deliver, I guess I'm the only one in Belgium who needed the adaptors with these 'strange threads' lol quality stuff, expensive but maintenance free
It's the tight tuc header kit from Corvette Central (Patriot)

I work at an oil refinery and we use those for all our tubing, ive seen them hold ridiculous pressures and you can install them with a wrench and nothing else. Definitely the way to go on stainless lines. That being said I used the summit adapters on my stock lines for my EZ EFI kit and have had no problems with as high as 80 psi.
