Ratman's first run!
Well tonight was big fun! Finally got the car on the road, the BB motor is amazing! One slight problem with the trany, won't go into first or third gear. I think the rods must be hitting something? I checked the stop adjusting bolts and no problem there. I will have to get under the car and check it out. The other problem was I forgot that the gas tank was low, and yes I ran it out of gas!!!! I have to remember that its very thirsty! Even with no first gear it took off in second like holly @#$# Can't wait for the next run.

The cam is a Crane 292 hydralic, so far so good, but I only had reverse and second gear and fourth. No first or third untill I can find out whats wrong with the linkage. Keep you posted.

Considering that I could only start in second gear I would say this motor is making tons on power and torque! The old small block would never have been like this! Hopefully this weekend I can get under the car and find out whats wrong. Thankfully I only live a 1\2 mile from the gas station, looks like I will be spending a lot of time there!
