Default LSX 454 into a C3

Just reading up on this new crate engine offering from GMPP and it's very impressive and is listed for about $10k.

Has anyone put one of these new crate motors in a C3?
Is it similar to a Big Block car and you can use all your accessories and intake/carb/starter etc?
Will it clear the stock hood?

Very curious.

It has the same installation issues as any other LS motor. To find out all of the details take a look at some of the other LS installations on the forum. 650hp should be more than sufficient to scare yourself silly, lol.

This engine shares ZERO with the traditional big blocks and everything with the LS engines.

Yeh, seems the LS engines went right back to the old Pontiac concept....same block for eveything, same external dimensions....

the old Ponchos from late 50's till '78 all the engines were same looking from outside....had to look at numbers to tell for sure,

326, 350, 400, 421, 428, 455, there was a really early version also at 2XX ci....but I forget the digits....
