trans crossmember
i have a silver anniversary coupe with the TH350 in it. my new exhaust from Pypes calls for a double hump crossmember. is this a crossmember from one of the earlier c-3 cars or what? and where can i get one of these whether new or aftermarket? can i just modify the original crossmember that is in the car? sorry for the dumb questions but i am a total corvette neophyte even though i have worked on loads of other chevies and many other makes. i see that G Force carries one but i'd love to see if there is an alternative to a 299 dollar crossmember. keeping the car original isnt a concern as i only paid 1500 for it and it was nowhere even close to being all original numbers matching, according to the number on the block it's a 4 bolt main from a truck or van, same with the heads. there was no interior to speak of and of course a 1500 dollar c-3 was about as rough as using a pinecone instead of toilet paper.
