So this is embarassing and possibly classic at the same time.
I did some minor diassembly prior to painting and wasn't thorough enough with my labelling. Does anyone out there recognize what these parts are for? I pretty much only took off the nose, the rear lower fiberglass, the ttops (for weatherstripping), and the door felts.
Hi b,
I believe the 2 smaller pieces are the retainers that are mounted on fiberglass side of the lock pillars.
There are a total of 4 (2 each side)... 2 'lower' that are much longer, and these 2, 'upper' that mount at the top.
They hold the large interior trim piece in place.
Regards,
Alan
Thanks Alan. You are right on with the smaller two pieces. The other two pieces (with the right angles) still have me stumped. The may belong under the nose (mine has a front lower spoiler), but I have it reassembled and everything seems ok.
The smaller pieces are the upper 1/4 retainer gizmo's
The other parts don't look like anything I've come across and I've had most things apart.
Vert? The shape kind of looks like something from the windshield posts or inner corner of a T-top?
