hi guys new to the corvette world from sunny england...
i have recently bought a 82 vette the rear is sagging bady to the d/s it has the mono spring... do these still sag? like the steel ones. looking at swapping it out if so. if not it may be other problems if not..
with the plastic spring, its pretty common on C4's,and usually adjustable with the bolts on the end of the spring. havent had issues with my C3. I actually swapped ends on my C4 spring cause it was sagging bout 1 1/2" low to the drivers side, and it leveled to bout 1/4" high on the drivers side, which when I was sitting in it , leveled it out. Something else to check would be the condition of the rubber bushings. If you have any experience with the mid 70's Triumph Spitfires and others with the transverse spring, all those tricks will work on these also, hope this helps.
btw , check for the proximity to heat as the prev. poster stated.
