1969 convertible project
Hello all new to this action!! I need some info on where to get a hood for my 427 corvette project I am doing. We acquired this car way back in 1984 and now with the kids gone want to get her running and pristine again. I am looking for info on whom to get a hood from as the hood we have does not fit after the body work was all done. We are havin g this done professionally and are doing a ground up retore . Any help is greatly appreciated.

I think the best choice is to find a used original hood in good condition. An original hood will likely fit the best.
I'm surprised the person doing the body work on your car completed it with out fitting the hood. Even under the best of circumstances the hood surround and hood will require some body work to get a "pristine" fit.
If you give us some idea where you're located, people can make some suggestions where to look. Otherwise you can certainly post a want ad in the 'parts forum'.

The car was done with the hood that was on it but the hood was not that good had been replaced, if you know where I can get a new one this would helpor maybe I should just just put a wanted ad out there but am afraid of what I will get in return. The guy doing the work does real nice work but has me shopping for the parts so he doesnt have to put out the money. Gene
