Is it typical to have to scroll across the screen to read a post? There must be a way to size to fit the screen, right?

Please help!!

What is your monitor resilution set at? At 1024x768 you shoud not have to scoll unless someone posts a large picture.

For images, the recommended maximum width is 700 pixels.

When someone posts a large picture that is wider than your screen resilution then you will have to scroll over. Watch the posts that you have to scroll and see if there is a large picture in it.

The thread we are on right now does not have any large pictures so you should not have to scroll. But this thread does http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=304451 so then you will have to scroll to read everything.

Most members try not to post anything wider than 700 pixels but sometime they do use a very large picture,

@ 1024 X 768 I have to scroll because of large pictures. I have bitched about this for a while, but no one in power seems to want to post parameters for posting pictures, etc. or have any instructions for newbies to read before they post.

How about it. If we bring these large pictures to the attention of the Moderator, will they notify the offenders and tell them how to correct the problem?

Also, it seems when people put several pictures on one line the same thing occurs! I have pictures shut off in my profile - the links are visable, but if I turn pictures on, the message does not scroll off the screen. I don't have access to a high speed connection and @ 56K it takes quite a long time for the pictures to load, that is why pictures are off.
