So I sold my 82 CE a couple weeks ago and I thought I had a deal to buy another one (super low mile car) that I saw at the NCRS regional in Florida. Well the deal fell through and I found myself without a corvette. :cry But you know the old saying, when one door closes another opens. Well the door opened wide for me. I found the car I have always wanted (other than the 58 I'd like to get one day). It's a 71 convertable, #'s matching, s/b, auto, a/c, steel cities gray and best of all it's a body off restored car with less than 100 mi on the restoration. The car came with an album detailing the resto with many pics showing factory marks (stencils) and codes written throughout the car which were either preserved or recreated. For a NCRS nut like myself I couldn't be happier. :D

That brings back memories. The third Corvette I owned was a 71 convertable Steel Cities Grey/Black top/Black standard interior. It was a base 350 4 speed A/C, PW, T/T, P/B and no P/S. I finally sold it to buy a house and kept the 81 I had because the wife complained she couldn't steer it. (Should have sold the wife and kept the car)
Mine was nice but nowhere near the condition yours is in. Great looking car. :cool:

Wow, could you send me some pics of your interior and engine bay. My '72 interior is original and is really looking its age. She is getting a heart transplant in the next 2 weeks, I am keeping the original engine parts. Your car looks incredible.
