Default 2" or 2.5"?

Should I go with 2" or 2.5" pipes on my L48 '75? I think it'll cost the same, but i might need a new bracket for 2.5", unless i can "customize" it  Also, the 2.5" pipes are for L82, so do both L48 and 82 use same manifolds so no need for new ones?

If I remember correctly, when I replaced the exhaust on my 75 and went to true duals, I thought that the rams horn manifolds were the same for L-48 and L-82 (2" outlets). The exhaust that I ordered from Rik's Vettes ($309.99) included all hangers and everything that you needed and had a small section of 2" to 2 1/2" pipe welded to the manifold flange.

Other than that, it was all 2 1/2" pipe with mufflers and everything included and I think it sounds great.

If you are going to leave engine stock you could go 2".

Sugest Increase Power ! & go 2 1/2.

Rich, what type of mufflers did you use? Stock, Dynomax, Flow masters, etc. I want a nice rumble sound, no resonnance in the inside but a true Corvette type rumble.
Thanks,
Bill

Dual, aluminized 2.5" exhausts. Get the Hedman Jet-Hot coated headers, custom true duals back to Dynomax Super Turbos. Oh what a feeling

I agree, but i can't afford them and I think someone in my neighboorhood is out to get me already. They've reported we're "storing a vintage vehicle on our driveway" even though I drive it nearly every day, which is more than some of the people here. They might report me for noise/disturbing the peace.

Rich, do you have the website for Rik's vettes?
I think i'll go with 2.5" :yesnod:
