77 Rear Window installation...HELP please
I removed the window when I took the car to get painted. I tried installing it myself. I'm doing just about everything else myself. Why not this too? I was completely unsatisfied with the installation. Looked like crap to me.
Does anyone have any tips on installation? I used the black 5/16" 3M window sealant from O'Reilly. Was that the wrong stuff? Too big maybe. I have the AIM and it shows 1/8" but I figured that was compressed. I'm sure there is a technique I am missing.

Scrape the thick stuff off and use this:

I just did this job on my 75 last summer and I used:
AUTOZONE #NICSOND WindowLock Ribbon Seal #NRS-150 (3/8"x3/8")
and
AUTOZONE #PERMATX HIGH TACK Gasket Sealant #80062 (used as primer)
I tried using thinner stuff but it would not seal.
