Default Radiator insulation kit. Pics please.

I can't quite figure out how a couple pieces of the foam insulation are installed. The AIM has an exploded diagram so I know basically where they go but they don't seem to fit well. I am talking about the two that are kinda zig zag shaped. Does someone have a picture with these pieces installed. They weren't on the car when I got it.

Thanks

Hope this helps. I don't know why it zig-zags.

The purpose of the ziz-zag piece is to fit the curve at the bottom of the hood as it is closed. This seals the hood to the top of the radiator - air will flow through the rad and not over it.

I agree. The shape fits the hood contour but doesn't seem to match the radiator or radiator mount. That's why I need a pic.

There may be more pieces than you need. My kit covered multiple years and some of the pieces were for non-'76 cars.

I have an aftermarket hood on my vette so I had to improvise a little. I purchased a package of black 1" wide insulation strip (one side with adhesive) and filled in the empty spaces. You may have to do the same.
