You can purchase that clamp and bolt from some of the Corvette aftermarket suppliers. If you are using the original style of battery, I would recommend getting a replacement for that clamp, so that it will fit and hold the battery properly. I believe the bolt has a 5/16" diameter thread, but I'm unsure whether it is fine thread or coarse thread.

Yes I know but I would like to avoid to pay a lot of shipping costs for a bolt, I live in Europe... that's why I asked for size and thread type...
My recollection is that it is a 5/16"-18 bolt about 1.5" long. But, I'm not going to disassemble my battery/box to check it. Hope someone else can confirm or correct this info.

Your close. My 78 was missing one but than I had another 78 to check the bolt configuration. I picked one up at a swap meet (and bracket) for a couple of bucks. I would agree with the length and it also has a pointed end. I'll see if I can locate it and check length and width, seems like the threads are fine.
In order to get free shipping I needed to buy another $1. so I purchase the bolt since I also bought the clamp. If you go to Zip-corvette.com and punch in item #bt-43 you will see it. Unfortunately the new battery I have is wider than original so I needed to get a longer bolt to make it work. Here's a pic. 1/2 inch socket fits
Mine was missing because the hole was stripped. I just picked up a bolt, nut, and a couple washers and secured the battery. It didn't cost much and I was looking for functionality over originality.
