no breaks!!!
My 1978 Vette has no breaks. Pedal goes straight down to the floor with no resistance and will not build any resistance with pumping? I can not find a leak anywhere and changed the master cylender just in case (only 17 dollars so worth the shot in the dark lol). Going to try bleeding the breaks in the next couple of days when I find time.
Do any of you, my expert friends, have any ideas?

If there is brake fluid in the master cylinder, and you're not getting a pedal, and there is no fluid leaking out anywhere, there is really only one thing it could be: The master cylinder. Did you bench bleed the master cylinder?

Yes I bench bleed the new master cylender. And the old one was never dry always had fluid. I live in the hills so breaks are very important to me and well maintained but I have never seen this problem.

To the OP- as he said, the pressure has to be going someplace. If you're positive that there are no leaks you'll probably need to bench bleed the master cylinder again and then bleed the whole system to get the air out of it. Good luck.
