Have you noticed any difference now with the correctly installed lifters? Did you also port the intake?
Glad to see its finally resolved.
Take care,
Mark
Weird thing is the engine ran pretty well with the messed up lifter/cam. Only thing I noticed was a slight chugging at 1500 rpm, that cleared up by 2000. That's gone now. Yes, I also ported the intake. Haven't done much WOT yet. I plan to go back to the dyno in the next week or so and see if power has improved.
Re: Finally got new cam installed and... (Budman78)
  To bad you could blame the lifter problem on the wreck.
Oh, man, I wish you had told me this earlier. It's obvious now: When he hit me in the rear, the exhaust got temporarily plugged, sending a reversion pulse back through the exhaust. It slammed the exhaust valve shut, junking the cam! :jester
I stopped by Sat to see the Zwede-mobile and participated in the first fire up on the new cam.
Zwede's C3 is a work of art. Very professional, well thought out. A credit to the craft of C3 Modifyers.
Well Done!
