1974 Ignition Shield Cover

Does anybody know if this will fit on my 1974 Vette which I converted over to HEI? Is there anything else I would need?

If they are 75 or newer parts they will.

No. This appears to be the 70L-74 top cover and brackets. They will not clear your HEI.

If you want to use ignition shielding and an HEI distributor, on your 74, you'll need to use the 75-77 top cover and support brackets.

Thanks for the info. Yes it is a 74 shield which I would have tried to fit over my HEI distributor. Do I really need this? Does it give the engine more of a chromed look? Does it help suppressing radio noise?

I don't think you really need it but I like my shiney shield in the engine compartment.
