Default clutch fork pivot ball height

I'm in the process of installing a new clutch and flywheel. Using the formula from Centerforce to determine how tall the pivot ball needs to be. The answer I come up with is my ball is 0.060" too short. Will that 0.060" make that much of a difference or should I get an adjustable ball? Get a throwout bearing 0.060" longer? Or, leave it as is?

Right now it is .060 too short. In the future ware will increase that number as the plates, fingers, throw out face ware. I run the GM long pivot ball availiable at any dealer for $14.95 I don't like adjustables

GM long ball usually solves any issues but if you change flywheel thickness make sure to figure out if you should use 1.25 or 1.5 TO bearing.

Thanks for the replies. I also do not like the adjustable ball, but the scattershield already has the longer GM ball installed. I'll determine what length release bearing to get. I used the Centerforce measuring procedure to determine that the ball is too short. I "assume" the numbers given for the nominal flywheel deck height (0.0960') and ball distance to the engine block (4.750") are correct.

You can't assume. I have a similar setup and the long ball works.

Installed the new flywheel and clutch today. With the long stud and the 1.25" long bearing that came with the clutch, the bearing is tight against the pressure plate fingers. Swapped to the short stud and now I have too much clearence. Tried another bearing that is 1.75" long with the short stud and it too, is tight. I guess my next options are to either try to find a 1.5" bearing or go to the adjustable stud.
