OOPS!!!!!!!!!!
I got the big black box out--(in about 40 pieces) :nonod:
now i see why it was there..........the blower motor pushes the air thru the heatercore via the box....since i cracked it up, any suggestions? can i make a sealed box out of sheet metal on a staight angle from the blower housing to the heatercore on the firewall?--on the goodside, my heatercore looks good.
oh yeah, behind the box was the old a/c core.
PLEASE TELL ME I DIDN'T SCREW-UP ALL THAT BAD!! :D

I'me sure you can buy a used one frome a vette salvage yard...
Oh and replace the heater core while you're in there, it's the only chance you 'll have!

If you cracked it up, then perhaps it was already cracked and leaking...not very efficient for the heater or A/C. You "could" fabricate your own, and it may be cheaper. But, if you are talking about the box sticking out from the firewall into the engine compartment then you really do want to get another one, unless you won't mind people saying, "what's that?"

And this came to mind at the same time....
That big noisey thing right in front of where the black box used to be, is called the motor....try to keep it in one piece :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
