BASICS*
just to answer the basics timing is 8 BTDC, new plug, taylor wires have less than 1500 miles, new intake gaskets,new carb base gasket, checked timing over and over again even made definite mark with the wifes white fingernail polish, even at 4-10 no change
PROBLEM*
i had a 750 holley street avenger on car and it had the wierdest flat spot ive ever seen, it would run fine at WOT it would run fine at 1/4 throttle,it would run fine at 1/2 throttle,
it just seem to go flat at any rpm and at any speed if i just eased into it, once i got past it, it would be fine,even if i tried to sit and power brake the car about 1500 rpm the engine would go flat and rpms would drop unless i gave it more gas i got off it,
SOLUTIONS*
i changed accel.
pump,jetted up,bought vaccum secondary spring kit, changed power valve, changed squiters all the way from 25-36, all as per holley tech rep. no change
WHAT WORKED*
I had a old holley 600 list number 1850, it needed a accel pump i put one in and threw it on car and no problems what so ever, of course its not as strong as the 750 at WOT but it will work for now.
ANY IDEAS, for what could be wrong with the 750
