Anyone know where I can find a good article on how to remove the door panel on my C3? I am ordering new panels and want to do it myself. Pictures would be nice.
DC,
do you mean the interior door panel? If so, there are there screws that hold the arm rest on, two where you rest the arm and one by the top of the arm rest. There is one screw that holds the little panel behind the interior door handle. You will have to undo the 4 screws that hold the mirror adjustment **** on and once you pull the **** out, there is a little allen screw that you need to take off.
Some times there is a screw at the bottom of the panel back by the door opening. YOu should be able to lift the panel up and out.
If you are talking about the "skin" of the door you are on your own there.
Removing them is one thing, but I always wondered about installing new ones. Are the screw (attaching) holes and other cut out areas for the power window switch already drilled in the new door panels? If not, how do you get them drilled in the right place?

Order the assembly instruction manual (AIM) and take a look. The AIM shows how the panels were installed at the factory. Removing them is the opposite.
You have trim screws, arm rest, door handle, lock, velcro fasteners, etc. to deal with.
The AIM will pay for itself. You'll use it for more than door panels, i.e., it shows how your CE graphics package was installed.

It depends on the year of your car. The older ones are pretty easy. For my 1970, what I had to do was remove the 4 screws around the edge, two screws holding the door pull on, and you have to pop off the "Jesus clips" on the window crank and lock ****. Then the panel slides off of the handle. Based on the picture in your avatar, your car is probably too new for that.

Go to the willcox website and they have instructions on how to do it. Type in door panel in the search engine on their website and at the bottom of the page you will see the instructions.
