Maybe wacky question. 69 BB and putting on Letric Limited correct braided spark plug wires.
The distributor ends snap into the cap with a rock solid SNAP, the spark plug ends it seems I have to fish around a little to get them on the plugs. Dielectric grease on the inner boots, and when they do snap onto the plugs I still feel a slight wobble, not the hard solid snap like the distributor ends.
I have the red MSD wires and you can hear them click when you push them on to the spark plug and they are on there rock solid
Yep, I usually have cars with upgraded items like you mention. On my 69 as it is a matching #'s, etc. L68 I'm sticking to stock. Letric Limited wires are quality I'm sure, but just don't snap onto the plugs as well as you would like, or that is what I sense. Probably o/k I hope.
Pull a plug and wire and try it in good light so you can see what is going on. I put some Accell cermaic boot wires on mine recently and they had a secondary C-ring to give the click.
The end terminal formed the basic loop shape but this secondary ring had a dimple that clicked into the spark plug groove. It gave an audible click and you could feel it engage when you where holding the boot...but it had to go all the way down before it would click.
