Default Headlight Problems

I own a 1976 Corvette and the bright lights do not work. The low/hi beams work. How do I check out this problem. Is there are dedicated fuse for the hi beam lights?

Thank you for taking time to read my post.

Probably should check the bulbs, and if thats not it, the dimmer switch.

Same fuse for brights and dim. The information I have is for a 77 but may be the same. From the light switch there is a blue wire that is hot when the lights are on. It goes to the high beam selector switch which is mounted on the left underside of the steering column and activated by a push rod connected to the lever you pull on the side of the column. From this switch either the tan wire(low) or the green wire(high) will be hot. I have had a poor connection at the connector there only allowing high or low to work. I would start with testing the bulbs though. I don't think you would have a bad ground since the same ground is used for dim and both bulbs function in bright mode. Hope this helps.

Does the switch on the floor seem to functioning normally? I know my 76, the switch got "glued" down and i had to wd40 it for a day before it became functional again.
