can r12 be replaced with Freeze-12 Refrigerant R-12 AC Replacement 12 oz Can or something similar? I only need a can to top of my system. I have heard various reports on whether it works but am not sure. To convert to 138a would be significant expense. They system of as now is holding its own but could be colder. I will be measuring temp at vents to see if it falls with normal -15 degree vs ambient aif temps......but i think it will fail!
