It still is... about cars and the people who love them!! :)

We have had little bits of controversy in the past, and the forum has survived, and surprisingly many of the combattants have survived as well! :)

Oh, I'm totally with you on that, I'm just getting tired of having to sift through so much bad stuff to find an interesting post. I've always thought of the forum as a free Vette school. Any question you have can be answered by someone here. I have lots of questions so that's a good thing, but its getting hard to learn with all these posts about what people are posting.

This is the type of thing that fuels these things instead of just letting them die. Lock it, kill it, and lets move on.

i've been here a few yrs and really don't care for the polls( i.e. what state has the most C3's?), but if i don't like the topic header i don't pull it up. i'm also annoyed that some of us can't use the "off topic" or "other car" section when appropriate. it doesn't really hurt anything so i'm kinda in the "live and let live" mode.

As in any discussion forum, there are going to be disagreements. Ego's, reputation, insults, can't admit your wrong, saving face, stubborness, and closed mind's ruin the thread's and start the conflict. As a wise MountainMan once told me... there are many ways to skin a cat, and many guys can't accept this. It's "their" way or NO way. When that crap starts, I go :smash: on something in the garage, rather than read the outcome. YES.. there is life away from the monitor!!!

It still is about cars (Corvettes in particular on this forum) but lately it seems that a few non-potty trained kids have decided to voice their trash (take a trip over to the Off-Topic section of this forum to see what I mean). They seem to think that their viewpoint is "mighter" than everyone elses, hence the nastiness and vindictive posts. These are merely brats (of whatever age) who do not fit in with their peers in a face-to-face world, therefore they have to hide behind a keyboard. Such brave souls...... you almost have to feel sorry for them.

Best to just ignore them - it's sign of foolishness to argue with a fool.

If all of these guys would just go out a buy a new cam for their motor and attemp to install it themself, then we could get back talking about the things we know and like. Then they all could start stripping their cars in their garage, we could help them with that. Then they could learn about total timing, that's a good one. God save us that they would need a new clutch, that will work also. See what I mean!
