Headlight issue effecting off-idle?
Quick question after checking out the awesome headlight system post started by 78IndyPace...
Will a headlight vacuum issue effect engine idle and off-idle light acceleration a well? Or does the check-valve near the carb/manifold help isolate the systems? I'm running down a headlight issue as well as an off-idle lag/ carb issue, and I'm beginning to wonder if they're related...

Hi SV,
Yes, a headlight system vacuum leak affects idle in the same way other intake/carb vacuum leaks will.
The check valve comes into play when the engine is shut off.
